HAPPY FRIDAY!
We The Living by Ayn Rand is the closest to me today because I was trying to get my mother interested in it last week when she was here and I never put anything away.
He looked down at her; she sat on the steps at his feet looking up at his face. He saw no fear and no appeal in her eyes, only an insolent calm.

Happy Friday!
I like the description. Sucks me in - does he want her to be fearful or appeal to him? Is he angry or sad at her reaction/non-reaction?
I love why this is the closest book to you - I'm awful at putting books away!
Insolent calm... now that sounds good right about now... LOL

Insolent, huh? Not usually paired with calm.. but interesting for sure.
My Friday 56 is up... but for some reason I picked a sentence from page 55- brain fart!

Mine's here.
I have several of Ayn Rand's books but I've never gotten around to reading any. Thanks for the quote/
I also cheated on my Friday56 because the closest book to me is "Mockingjay" and since I'm in the middle of reading it and deep in the no spoiler zone - I went to the next closest book - and one of my favorites. I posted the whole paragraph when I saw what the sentence was because...yikes!

Oh, this one sounds good...I've read some books by Ayn Rand, like The Fountainhead and Atlas Shrugged, but haven't read this one.
