HAPPY FRIDAY!
Today I don't have a book for the F56, but please everyone else play! Today I want your opinions. I'm not feeling very motivated by the books lately. I am still reading but I don't feel motivated by any of them to talk about it. Maybe it's simply because I've been so busy for so many months and am simply not in the swing anymore but I'm thinking maybe I need to change the format of the blog a little. I would still include the books but also most of the stories on "Storytime" would be my own. I have an idea (that of course is not my original idea, I saw it somewhere else) to take at least one picture every day. It will be called "Picture My Day." I may not necessarily talk about every picture I take but at least it will get me looking at the world in a fresh light. I'm feeling a little stagnant. And we all know what happens to stagnant water! Yuck!
If I do this, it may mean the format I currently have won't work. I know one of my other blogger friends (and a friend from high school), Ruthann at Eclectic Whatnot not only changed her entire format but also her site's location in order to accommodate the pictures she takes. I don't think I would need to do that, but if I did I guess I'm curious how many of my readers (and F56 players) would follow me.
I had thought that maybe I would start a new blog. But I've done that before and it didn't get too far. I had fun with it for a few months and then it just sat there, looking sad. Storytime is my platform and I want to stay, but I want to expand it a little. So what does everyone think?

It is your blog; you can do what you want with it. Sometimes change is good. Perhaps you could find a way to link a picture to a book you are reading.
My Friday 56 is here. It would pair well with a picture of a gritty urban landscape (New Orleans in particular).
Wow! I know those feelings...boredom, restlessness, angst...when that happens to me, I start another blog. Maybe that's not the recommended way to go, since I have nineteen now! I'm the Crazy Blog Lady.
But I think whatever you feel like you should do to spice things up for yourself, you should give it a whirl. I love photos and blog posts that feature them. I would definitely follow, since I like anything that's out there on that limb. (Hey, I even have a blog by that name).
Today I posted my F56 on my newest blog, called Connections. All about family and social connections and whatever...

It's your blog. Sometimes a break or a change in routine can be good. But I'd be more likely to stick around a blog that has stuff related to books. ;-)

Thanks for the encouragement! I think I will leave it the blog here and it will be my only one. I can't imagine trying to keep up with so many! I have been playing all morning with different templates to find one that will allow for a good size picture but also be pretty. I really liked the other template best but the columns were simply too skinny. I also don't think I'll attach each photo to a current book. I kind of like the idea of leaving it simple to tell a story about my day, though I'm sure (as much as I read) that I will still find a way to bring in whatever I'm reading to my story!
If you're feeling bored with it, it's definitely time for change! Good luck!
Here is my Friday 56!
I love the new look! Change is good!!

I'll follow you where ever you go. :D
If you need help moving things or with design, I could try to help.
Thanks! I'm gonna stick here for now and see how the pics look when I start putting them up. I really like this new template I found. I wish I knew how to make my own. I can do some html and I'm sure if I sat with it long enough I could figure it out, but who has time for that?
Play with your new idea here for a while. See where it takes you.
I'll keep checking in :-).
My Friday 56 is from Heart of Lies by M.L.Malcolm.
I missed the last week - did you make big changes to your blog? The header looks new (and very well done).
I've been a bit slow myself lately with the BEA, Book Blogger Convention and a bout of the flu.
Am glad to be here though - thanks for hosting.
Here's my Friday 56 from the Bourne Objective
