HAPPY FRIDAY!
This week's selection comes from Prophecy of the Sisters by Michelle Zink. I first saw this book a couple months ago and was going to wait until it came out in paperback but it just looked so good I couldn't wait.
When Mr. Douglas's shop comes into sight, I see Miss Gray, standing outside and speaking harshly to James and Mrs. Bacon.

I keep encountering the Prophecy Of The Sisters whenever I go to bookstores but never picked it up. The book cover probably got tons of meaning but it looked so so uninspiring to me! It comes across as grey and miserable. So I never even considered reading the back caption. Is it any good? Are you going to review you it? I will read your review first and take it from there, if ever I will even consider reading this book.

ah.. silly me, should have read the post before this one.. Read your review.. *groan* Victorian! ok, ok, will have a look...
Also noticed that the date and time stamp on my comment is still Nov 12. It is already Friday in my part of the world though :)
Not sure where your part of the world is but I have a couple who get to Friday before we do in the US so I post the 56 early for my overseas friends that want to play!
Don't let the Victorian era be a deterrent. It's not stuffy at all. The Victorian age was a time of great spiritual change so I'm thinking that may be why she used it for her setting.
Mine's here.
Happy Friday!!
Victorian isn't bad unless there's too much time spent explaining the era and not enough time spent telling the story. Will have to check this one out because I do love Victorian, but it's usually romance.
Here’s my 56 offering.
Not romance! hehehe
Not too bad a Friday over here I suppose! *Stretches back.*
Prophecy of the Sisters? I'll have to look them up!
Here's my Friday 56.
What I love about the Victorian era was all the beautiful old houses. :) My Friday 56 is here.
This sounds good! I apologize if I've already left a comment, but since it's not visible...oh, well!

Looks like fun - hope to make this a regular on my site.
