This from page 5 of The Hour I First Believed. I deliberately chose this quote because it is misleading and if you know who he's talking about, haunting.
And I remember thinking he'd make a good Marine. Clean-cut, conscientious, his ironed T-shirt tucked neatly into his wrinkle-free shorts. Give him a few years, I figured,
and he'd probably be officer material.

You know, I always meant to read Wally Lamb yet, I never seemed to get around to it.
Have you read any of his previous works?
Yes, his first two books are wonderful. I highly recommend them.
I haven't read Wally Lamb yet either, but I do have the first 2 on my bookshelf at home. I think I will try to get one of those read this year. They are pretty big books and sometimes those bigger ones intimidate me! lol
Good teaser!
hehe! I look at them like a challenge, like a mountain I have to climb before I die! LOL
Well now I'm intrigued! Great teaser!
Some teaser!
Here is mine
I loved Wally Lamb's first two books, but they were really difficult and depressing to read. I'd love to read this one though, it sounds good.
I have been wanting to read this book! Good teaser!

I keep meaning to read something by Wally Lamb since everyone speaks so highly of his books. I used to have a copy of I Know This Much Is True, but I'm not sure what happened to it....
I have been wanting to read this one too. Enjoyed his first 2 books. She's Come Undone is on my all time favorite reads list.
